ABOUT PATRICK

Thank you for checking out my work.

I'm a father, husband, and painter living in Duluth, MN. I am fortunate to have trained with Jeffrey Larson and Brock Larson at Great Lakes Atelier of Fine Art, and I am on staff there teaching the full time students, part time evening classes, and workshop classes. My wife and I actually worked on the Atelier building together in 2016 doing plaster work. I owe a lot to the school as far as how my story went after walking into the place. I have been blessed with a craft that I love, a wife who supports me and painting, and a child who is perfect in every way.

I like hard work, skill, and honesty. I paint to reflect those principles and to honor the Lord, faithfully following where He has pointed me. The greatest gift that I will ever receive is my son, and on top of that the enormous amount of time I can spend with him. I try to see the world more like he does. Sometimes I paint standard, universally beautiful subjects. But more often than not, I find beauty and interest in things or scenes that would otherwise seem mundane. Everything has been created for a reason, and I think we just need some time to look and enjoy it. I hope to point out some of those things that I appreciate to you though my pictures.
